There are some events in life that literally compel us to take a step back and reflect on our life’s purpose. Natural disasters, great tragedies, the passing of a loved one. Whether you pay any interest to these events or not, they can provide us with an opportunity to reflect on our own purpose. To ask ourselves a fairly deep personal question, “what guides me?”

A few years back I created a philosophy about work and life that helped me understand why people find themselves in jobs that they have no passion for, and why there always seemed to be this urge in people to unlock their potential. I called this philosophy the discovery of natural alignment.
